In the Realm of Chains, King Vitalik the Immutable rules. This is a vale of shadows, surrounded by a maze that never ends. The walls are so tall that seeing your own shadow would be considered a miracle. Within this realm, time has no meaning, and reality is a mere illusion.
Legend has when the land was young and new, the king fell madly in love with a goddess by the name of Sunetr. Every day he would bring a gift to gain her affection. And every day, although delighted at each of his gifts, she rejected his love.
One day, the goddess appeared in Vitalik's dreams, asking him to leave the kingdom and find the only thing she wanted — The Convell. These mysterious objects were said to open the gates between different worlds. The king accepted, but in exchange, he created a contract where she agreed to be his bride and live with him for eternity.
14 long years passed since the king set out on his quest to find the Convell. When he finally returned, no one dared to ask him what had happened. He looked like a shell of his former self, his eyes devoid of light. The Convell tucked under his arm, a black mirror that could never be destroyed. It reflected the images of those who gazed inside, trapping their souls for eternity. Everyone in the kingdom was terrified. Would he force them all to look inside the cursed mirror? No one knew what to expect from him.
In his rage the blinded king blamed the goddess for what happened to him and asked to imprison her on top of the highest mountain until the end of time. Many objected, but he said the goddess was a danger, and anyone seen worshipping her would face the same fate.
